This course provides exposure and a basic understanding of weaving bags using strapping bands, along with the materials required to complete each item. The equipment used includes various types of strapping band, suitable band splitters, and the preparation of patterns or templates based on the desired motif. Students will also learn about the final finishing process, including making handles for the bags. A solid understanding of each process will enable students to produce neat and aesthetically pleasing woven strapping band bags, which can be utilized personally or which can be contributed to the community through voluntary activities.
This course provides exposure and a basic understanding of creating motifs using Sarawak beads, along with the materials required to complete each item. The equipment used includes various types of beads, suitable thread or string, and the preparation of patterns or templates based on the desired motif. Students will also learn the final finishing process, including making thread pom-poms for the Iban tangu (traditional accessories). A solid understanding of each process will enable students to create neat and beautiful beadwork, which can be utilized personally or contribute to the community through voluntary activities.
This course is designed to improve students' soft skills and expose them to community service through traditional folk theater course activities. Students will learn the basics of theater about history, introduction, basic acting skills as well as how to produce a traditional aristocratic theater and play the Sarawakian drum instrument called 'bermukun'.
This course exposes students to the art of designing clothes for the indigenous people in East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak). Through this course, students will be exposed to the concept, type and philosophy behind traditional Malay buttons or buttons for men's shirts and also sarong batik fabric for Malay women which is now being lost to the times and is no longer known by the younger generation. In addition to the Malays, students are also given the opportunity to study the fashion design and philosophy of other indigenous ethnic groups in East Malaysia so that the sustainability of the race and culture can be maintained. This course can also help promote the almost forgotten Malay culture through activities and ethnic cultural exhibitions to the local community.
This course will give you the theoritical & fun hands on experience on the basics of vocal techniques including TYPES OF VOICE, POSTURE, BREATHING, BREATH SUPPORT, DICTION, PROJECTION, PITCH CONTROL, DYNAMICS, WARM UP EXERCISES and OVERCOMING STAGE FRIGHT.
This course is designed for beginners who want to develop fundamental skills in playing the piano and keyboard. Students will learn essential techniques, including proper hand positioning, note reading, rhythm, and basic chords. The course also introduces simple melodies, accompaniment patterns, and foundational music theory to enhance musical understanding. Through guided practice and interactive exercises, students will build confidence and coordination, progressing towards playing complete pieces. By the end of the course, participants will have a solid foundation to continue their musical journey, whether for personal enjoyment or further study.This course aims to teach beginners on the piano/keyboard how to play pop songs using basic chords and learn songs by reading a lead sheet: a common musical notation used in pop music.

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of musical theatre, combining acting, singing, and movement. Students will explore stage performance techniques, vocal projection, character development, and choreography through practical exercises and group performances. The course emphasizes teamwork, confidence-building, and creative expression, making it suitable for beginners with or without prior experience. By the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to participate in a mini showcase, applying their acquired skills in a live performance.
