Childhood is an exciting time for kids when they are starting to learn and explore themselves and the surrounding world. They begin to create habits which will affect their life. The concept of the respective course is based on community work which helps expose the pupil to practising healthy habits for life. Three good health concepts include a balanced diet, physical activity, and personal hygiene.
This course aims to provide exposure to the students regarding committee service, to train them to work in a group as a team and to encourage them to get involved in community activities. At the end of this course, the students are expected to be able to conduct activities that can contribute to the general public especially the community that lives around UNIMAS campus and they can apply the skills that they have learned after attending this course.
this course gives exposure to students about the basic of news writing. It covers the techniques and methods that need to produce quality news writing, style of writing, ethics and true understanding of the field of journalism.
Softskills are adapted into this course through the students' knowledge and participation of activities either inside or outside campus grounds including organise special projects. The course in Volunteerism focuses on the (theoretical and practical) concept of volunteerism theoretically and practically especially towards the environment and community. Students will organise the activities along with the community or the NGO in preparing paperwork, organising the program, preparing reports, and presenting the program reports. At the end of the course, students will be (able to) evaluated based on their involvement, leadership, managing the program, the spirit of teamwork, increase awareness on the environment and the community and the spirit of volunteerism. Overall, seven (7) elements from the softskills has been applied.
Radio DJ equips students with the skills and knowledge we need to succeed as radio DJs, whether you are interested in pursuing a career in radio broadcasting or simply want to learn more about this exciting field. Students will learn about the role of a radio DJ, the different types of platforms and techniques that are required. Students will also gain practical/hand on experience in the art of DJing, including selecting music, creative ideas for interactive session on air, making own jinggles, and the importance of creating a strong on-air persona and developing your own unique style as a DJ.Overall, it is fun!
Do-Gooders provide exposure to the students regarding committee service, to train them to work in a group as a team and to encourage them to get involved in community activities especially community that lives outside UNIMAS. Students will help community not only towards environment or nature life but also builds self-responsibility, caring, love themselves and life, having fun and this will be their long learning soft skills after graduation.
Do-Gooders provide exposure to the students regarding committee service, to train them to work in a group as a team and to encourage them to get involved in community activities especially community that lives outside UNIMAS. Students will help community not only towards environment or nature life but also builds self-responsibility, caring, love themselves and life, having fun and this will be their long learning soft skills after graduation.
The purpose of this course is to improve presentation skills. This includes verbal and non-verbal communication skills (eye contact, hand gestures, body postures and more). Moreover, this course is an exposure for students catered towards improving skills and attitudes during presentations. Students will learn to apply manners and ethics during speaking and communicating.
This course provides students with an intensive knowledge of public speaking with communication and techniques, for example, role-play, grammar games, community activity and relevant videos to support lesson content. This course also offers approaches for students to focus on public speaking by tailoring speeches to specific audiences.
