No one is born a facilitator, but a person can learn how to become one. A facilitator helps a group of people to work together better, understand their common objectives and plan how to achieve those objectives. This course, will introduce students, the basics of how to be a facilitator besides handling & creating a simple modules.
This course is built for student to have the passion and patience in managing and leading an event or being part of the organization. This course will teach the basic theories & practicals to explore the key skills needed for organizational leadership either as a leader or as a follower in student’s organization in UNIMAS.
This STEM program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The program will offer a range of courses and workshops that cover topics such as coding, data analysis, robotics, and more. Students will have the opportunity to gain practical skills and experience through hands-on projects.
This course offers a comprehensive understanding of the various fields within STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and the tools and techniques used in these fields. The students can apply their knowledge and skills to real-world projects, collaborating with their peers to solve complex problems, design and build prototypes, and present their solutions related to STEM.
This course emphasis on the soft skills development among students by inculcate the leadership element and community service in the syllabus. The student will be exposed with team work, planning and negotiation skills in developing their project. The student will prepare the working paper of their project with their own effort and creativity. The leadership project proposal will be materialized toward the end of semester with the selected community.
Event Master is a course that provides the students with basic planning, execution, and post management of events, which includes the paperwork managements, budget planning, organization of manpower, technical and logistic requirements, and overall supervision towards achieving the aim and objectives set for the events. The course also emphasizes on the professionalism and ethics related towards handling the events regarding manpower, budgetary matters and any related issues that affects the achievements and impact of the event.
This course is designed to improve students awareness about money, mindset, challenges, psychology of money and what can be done at a personal level when it comes to managing own money.
This course provides awareness and exposure basics of student financial management on campus/university.In addition to fostering students interest in managing their finances well while on campus. Also applied is how to spend daily cash flow, identify student monthly expenses and debt, how to use the android apps expense manager. Also basic knowledge of health protection and safe investments so that students are more prepared and not easily deceived.
Adventure seekers is an introductory course on hiking basics with an emphasis on setting up an exercise program, reading and planning routes, personal safety, and health benefits. The courses are designed to provide educational opportunities that empower students to practice lifelong positive health behaviours. In particular, this course will prepare students to experience several local hikes where they can apply basic hiking skills. Additional topics to be covered include: basic compass and/or map use, food and water guidelines, Leave No Trace principles, treatment of common hiking injuries, clothing/equipment considerations and daypack essentials. Students will be required to complete hikes at trail locations regionally. Students must provide their own transportation or arrange transportation from the university to trail locations. While previous hiking experience is not required, the physical ability to navigate moderately difficult terrains is strongly advised.
