CENTRE FOR STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
Since establishment by the Office of Student Affairs and Alumni in early 2001, the Student Development Centre (PPP = Pusat Pembangunan Pelajar) has focused on the aspects of student development, character, and careers. This has been accomplished by offering modules on skills, humanities, spiritual ethics, and entrepreneurial spirit for students, in line with UNIMAS’s goal to produce graduates who are capable, knowledgeable, informed and able to compete in the workplace.
Based on current developments and the growing core activities of PPP, the Centre has taken a smart and strategic approach in implementing a restructuring and rebranding of its component units. This restructuring was carried out upon the 140th Senate Meeting 03/2015 of 22 April 2015 and the Board of Directors Meeting held 14 May 2015. These meetings agreed to approve the restructuring of the Student Development Centre, whereby the Centre is headed by a Dean, with the assistance of two Deputy Deans and a Head of Department. PPP comprises two units and three departments:
Every unit and department at PPP have its own important role to play in ensuring PPP achieves its assigned objectives pursuant to the goal of UNIMAS in producing graduates who possess the attributes needed for high employability.
